Gandhi Bhawan Committee today celebrated Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in which Member of Parliament Lok Sabha Jammu Poonch Jugal Kishore Sharma was the Chief Guest of the occasion.Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma started the function with lightning of Lamps & by paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi Ji and Sh. Lal Bhahadur Shashtri Ji.President Gandhi Bhawan Committee Sh. Gautam Mengi Ji presided over the function with an inaugural speech.Suresh Sharma Retd. Session Judge Chairman Gandhi Sewa Sadan,Rajinder Kakkad General Secretary Gandhi Bhawan Committee and Bhuvneshwar Gupta Jt. Secretary greeted the Member of Parliament by presenting a bouquet.

Senior BJP Leader Yudhvir Sethi & Parveen Kerni,Rajesh Gupta President VHP,Dev Raj Sharma,Rajni Sharma,Tripta Sharma,Raman Suri,Jagdish Ji,Vishu Dogra Principal DBN and others prominent citizens were also present at the occasion.Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma while speaking at the occasion said that Mahatma Gandhi Ji was a great freedom fighter and his teachings are always remembered.He said that Mahatma Gandhi Ji's greatest teaching was "Ahinsa Parmo Dharma" which is famous in the whole world.He said that Gandhi Ji believes that we should promote Khadi and it should be used in our daily life. He also visited Khadi Store at Gandhi Bhawan and made some purchases and also appraised others to use khadi in our day to day life. 

Jugal Kishore Sharma Member of Parliament said that Sewa Pakhwada is celebrated over the Nationwide from 17th of September 2022 the Birthday of Sh. Narendra Modi Ji to 2nd october 2022 the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Ji in which various programmes have been organized.Today under the said programme visiting to the Khadi Stores and promoting Khadi is the theme of the programme. He congratulated Gandhi Bhawan Committee and Gandhi Sewa Sadan for arranging such a beautiful programme in which students from Ved Mandir Balika Hostel and various schools of DBN Trust also performed well.He encouraged the people and the students that such programmes should be organized at short intervals so that our young generation and society will get moral boosters.A documentary on the life and deeds of Mahatma Gandhi also played in the function.

Demand for rejuvenation of Gandhi Bhawan has been raised at the occasion and the Member of Parliament also assured the committee that best possible efforts would be provided.
